What can I use Miits for?
1. A sales meeting
David is responsible of arranging a weekly sales meeting for his 12 sales managers across Europe. He schedules a meeting and sends an invite to the attendees using Miits.com portal. The invitees will receive an email with meeting details and a link to join the meeting. The invite also includes an .ics -attachment for adding the meeting to calendar, so they will be reminded before the meeting starts.
The participants David has invited don´t need to register Miits, but can join the meeting by clicking the unique URL link he has sent them. In this meeting there is 3 participants with their iPad´s, 4 with iPhones on the road and the rest of them join from their home offices using their workstations.
The attendees can see video, hear audio and view / share content using the devices they already own. There is no need for complicated configuring or software installations to have a secure online video meeting with HD video, high quality sound and screen sharing
2. Staff training
Lisa needs to arrange a training to the 6 company product managers that are located all over the country. She could invite all of them to travel to the head office, but by using video to train the product managers on an upcoming product launch, she can save money on travel and facilities costs for the attendees and trainers. By using video, the training session is more effective and a 2 hour training session actually lasts only 2 hours instead on 10 or more (when travelling is involved) and the trainers don´t need to travel all across the country to train people.
Lisa uses her computer with a larger screen and her conference cam, because she will be presenting the material and needs to have a larger picture and better audio available. John, who is one of the product managers is in his hotel room using an Android tablet, three of the PM´s are at their home office 950 miles away using their MAC and Windows laptops and headsets, and two of the PM´s use a Windows tablet and headphones for attending the training.
3. Staff available anywhere
Ben is a manager with a team of 25 people in total, 12 of them work at the same location that Ben does, but the rest of the workers are located in 3 different company offices. Ben needs to talk to his team members individually and together many times per week.
Ben likes to use video, because that way the team members can see each other much more often than without video. A very big part of people communicating with each other is also the body language and facial expressions. Ben´s team work effectively, because they can, in addition to their bi-weekly video meeting and quarterly meeting in person, see and talk to each other when ever they have the need to.
The attendees can see video, hear audio and view / share content using the devices they already own. There is no need for complicated configuring or software installations to have a secure online video meeting with HD video, high quality sound and screen sharing.
3. See your family from across the country
Today life is very busy and there is not always enough time to see your family that may live in another city, across the country or even in another country. Today many people also do a lot of work related travelling.
Alex is a grandfather that has got 2 kids and 5 grandchildren that live quite far away from him. He sees them during holidays, but he and his wife Betty want to see them more often. Alex also still need to do some work related travelling. Alex uses video meetings to see his kids and grandkids at least once a week and he can even get them all in the same meeting, because they can join using their own laptops, tablets or even smartphones. When Alex is away on a business trip, he uses it for business of course, but after the business hours, he calls home to Betty and gets the latest news from her.
According to studies, approx. 55% of the impact of communications between people comes from body language and facial expression, and people learn twice as much and retain the information about 38% better compared to audio only. With videoconferencing, everyone that needs training, can attend the session, there is no need to determine who gets training by location or by how much does it cost. The attendees can see video, hear audio and view / share content using the devices they already own. There is no need for complicated configuring or software installations to have a secure online video meeting with HD video, high quality sound and screen sharing
